Welcome
to the Navajo Nation Portal!
This
website is envisioned to be the authoritative point of reference for
accessing all Navajo-related content on the Internet. We hope you
will have fun exploring this site and also find it useful. THE NAVAJO
NATION Dine Bikeyah, or Navajoland, is larger than 10 of the 50
states in America, stretching into three states. This land is
centered within the boundaries of the four Holy Mountains
representing the four cardinal directions.
The
land is also bounded by the Little Colorado River in the south and
the San Juan River and Colorado River in the North. The contrasting
landscapes moving from arid desert to mountainous regions and
Ponderosa pine forests provide many spectacular sight-seeing
opportunities for visitors. Well-known Navajo-area attractions
include the Monument Valley, Canyon De Chelly, and the Hubbell
Trading Post. Our Navajo government is recognized as the largest and
most sophisticated form of American Indian government.
